Saracen Social Activities

The Saracen RC enjoys a varied social programme from monthly club evenings and monthly afternoon lunches to annual special events such as extended club runs, rambling and traditional celebrations.

Monthly Club Meetings

Wythall House, Silver Street, Wythall

These are held on the first Tuesday of every month, from 8.30 pm onwards.

A licensed bar is available for very reasonably priced drinks and coffee.

Monthly Club Lunches

We also meet for lunch once a month, an ideal opportunity for riding and non-riding members to socialise. The venue changes but details will always be posted up on the forum in plenty of time.

The Annual Dinner and prize presentation

This is very much the focal point of our year, a chance for all Saracen members old and new to get together and celebrate the club's achievements over the course of the year.

The Annual Beer and Skittles Evening

A long established Saracen event where couples compete for the club's Skittles trophy. The competition is keen but the emphasis is always on fun.

Special Events

During the course of the year we have a number of special events ranging from country walks to bunkhouse weekends away. Details will be published well in advance on the forum and by newsletter.

The “Christmas Boozers Run”

This is a long held Saracen tradition and simply one of the highlights of the year.

We meet up at a pre-designated location and cycle off to enjoy an early morning campfire cook-up in the woods. Then it’s off to the Dodford Inn, Dodford where a number of local cycling clubs converge to enjoy an afternoon of carol singing, drinking and general mayhem.
